The 2008 Manorborn Memory Issue includes my essay: "Country Stroll" written in memory of my father, Nathan J. Winslow.  An excerpt: "Went for a stroll on Sunday. I stepped from concrete onto grass by the nearly-spent purple heather that had started to bloom on the eve of my father's death, and was suddenly aware that a month had passed in a haze of grief.
